Emergency Refuge

In the Fall of 2007, Tamar's House will open our 1st emergency refuge for 10-20 girls who have been sexually abused by a member of their household. The young ladies who reside in our group home will reside in a safe homelike environment under the supervision of degreed and professionally trained staff members.

The girls are referred by the Texas Department of Regulatory and Protective Services, our 24 Hour Hotline and local community advocates. The residential program will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a commitment to helping the young ladies to heal from their past and to grow into spiritually mature adults.
